But yes, they are mentioned many times and jazakallah khair for listing the references.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15177578450022894894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20631069.post-17058207187283500232007-06-07T20:45:00.000-04:002007-06-07T20:45:00.000-04:00mashaa allah, This is an excellent article.Birds a...mashaa allah,
This is an excellent article.

Birds are mentioned many times in quran:

Surat al-nour, ayat 41

surat al-nahl , ayat 79

surat al-mulk , ayat 19

surat al-anaam, ayat 38

surat al-naml ayat 16-17 & 20-32

surat al baqara, ayat 260

and each ayah has wonderfull tafsir!Aviatorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09809785161600609869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20631069.post-54315370186346631952007-06-07T11:25:00.000-04:002007-06-07T11:25:00.000-04:00Maybe. Whenever people think of something to compl...Maybe. Whenever people think of something to compliment me on, it throws into stark reality the dearth of that attribute I actually have, so immediately I think (even if I don't say) "Oh, Allah, make me one who has ____."

For example, someone says, "thanks for being patient." I think, "Oh Allah, make me one who has patience;" or "Oh Allah, give me patience." Because I only see how patient I am not, how impatient I am sometimes to get what I want. I can't sit around and say "Oh, look at how patient I am... lah-dee-dah." That's rather conceited anyway I guess.

So whenever you tell me I'm kind, I only think that I want to be kind, and kinder. That's not exactly refuting the compliment... I hope. In a way, though, I fear my own inadequacies. So thank you, but thank Allah and really, all thanks are for Allah.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15177578450022894894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20631069.post-83331967248515852232007-06-06T22:41:00.000-04:002007-06-06T22:41:00.000-04:00As-salaamu alaikum,"Kindness fell by the wayside I...As-salaamu alaikum,

"Kindness fell by the wayside I think, but I pray it is something I can acquire, tenderness in my heart for others."

May Allaah increase you in tenderness, but perhaps the self-assessment is ... well, let's just say that probably your friends disagree with you on that one. Perhaps your closer friends strongly disagree.

Nonetheless, may Allaah increase all of us in kindness and tenderness... perhaps it is only those who are kind who would originally even think about making such a dua.Ibn Abd-el-Shafyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11508430991019316152noreply@blogger.com
